James R. Voss
Board President, Trustee Area II: Clear Creek, Grass Valley, Ready Springs School Districts
July, 2008-present

Jim Voss is a life-long educator having been a teacher, principal, and superintendent. He served as superintendent of Pleasant Valley and Ready Springs School Districts before retiring and joining the county school board in July of 2008. Jim and his wife have lived in Lake Wildwood since 1999.

Marianne Slade-Troutman
Board Vice-President, Trustee Area I: Chicago Park, Nevada City, Pleasant Valley, Twin Ridges, Union Hill, and Camptonville Union School Districts
1980-present

Marianne takes special interest in serving students with disabilities. Attributes: Chairperson - acquisition of NCSOS complex; Fairgrounds Gentle Giant - fundraising director for 9 years; currently hosts Home Town U.S.A. educational programming - NCTV channel 11; and, co-authored Senate Bill 1893/Senator Tim Leslie, saving millions of dollars for California schools annually.

Robert Altieri
Board Member, Trustee Area I: Chicago Park, Nevada City, Pleasant Valley, Twin Ridges, Union Hill, and Camptonville Union School Districts
December, 1994 - present

After college, Bob Altieri worked at the Kennedy Space Center, particiating in the launch of Apollo 11. Following this, he worked in the Bay Area for two Fortune 500 companies and moved to Nevada County in 1981. Accomplishments: MBA, Licensed RE Broker, Certified Business Appraiser, and teaching at Sierra College.

John V. 'Jack' Meeks
Board Member, Trustee Area II: Clear Creek, Grass Valley, Ready Springs School Districts, Trustee Representative
December, 1994-present

Jack Meeks holds a BS in Engineering from Syracuse University, MS in Biochemistry from Cornell University, and is an AS Veterinary Technician. He has been a resident of Penn Valley since 1989, where he raises cattle and bees. Jack participates in the dog rescue program and in local theatrical productions.

Trevor Michael
Board Member, Trustee Area III: Pleasant Ridge School District
March, 2011 - present

Prior to living in Nevada County, Trevor worked in Silicon Valley on next generation semiconductor industry technology. A new job in a local television industry technology company began his residence in Nevada County. He has been a parent and business owner in Nevada County since 1998. Trevor has a BSEE from the University of Florida and a MS in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
